Dec. 7-15, 2020

The Decolonization@60 series of events were hosted by GloDec at the BU Pardee School of Global Studies in December 2020 on the 60th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 1514. The Resolution, formally called, “Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples,” was adopted on December 14, 1960.
The events showcased new historical research that sheds light on decolonization as a framework, a moment, and more importantly as an ongoing process.
